The project methods are the PFI-R method, in which business operators design and renovate facilities based on their own proposals, and the PFI-R method, in which the city retains ownership facility but gives the business operator the right to operate it, providing many conveniences to users and audiences. Franchise methods are used in conjunction with service provision. The duration of the project lasted until September 1939.
The city's common arena was built in 1997 by Maeda Construction for the 2000 Toyama National Games. Although it has been widely used as a core facility for sports and entertainment, But it is becoming more and more dilapidated. To realize a compact city, the city will use private capital and know-how to make it a core base for new urban development.
City General Arena (12-1, Irifune-cho, Minato) is an SRC/RC building with one basement and three above-ground floors, totaling 28,682 square meters. According to the proposal of Maeda Construction Group, the existing facility will be utilized and renovated into a new B1 standard compliant arena. The number of audience seats will be increased to 5,000. New suites and lounges have been added. The building will be barrier-free, have multi-purpose restrooms installed on each floor and a new wheelchair-accessible elevator. Use IT equipment to increase profits. We will also work to create vibrancy in collaboration with the surrounding area.
Maeda Construction is involved in many public-private partnership projects, including airport concessions, highways, exhibition halls and arenas. In this project, we hope to leverage our achievements and knowledge to contribute to the revitalization of the region, focusing on infrastructure, sports and entertainment. Specific project details will be announced after consultation with the city.
