     A groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 16th for Highway 483, "Kita-Kinki Toyooka Expressway Toyooka Road (Phase II)" (about 5.1 km long), developed by the Kinki Area Development Bureau in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, held at Stork Tajima Airport. This is the final section of the Kita-Kinki Toyooka Expressway (approximately 73 km long), connecting Kasuga JCT/IC (Tamba City) and (tentative name) Toyooka-kita JCT/IC (Toyooka City) and other parties. The company is currently breaking ground to ensure construction safety and hopes to open soon.

    Next, Ryota Tatsutomi of Nakamura-gumi, who is in charge of the first construction phase, ``Toyooka IC Bridge Lower Section and Other Constructions'', expressed his determination to ``proceed with construction without any accident until the end .''

    Finally, the ground was cleared by Director Niwa, Governor Saito, Kinki Development Bureau Director Shigenori Misaka, Congressman Tani, Congressman Suematsu and Toyooka Mayor Kuninuki Sekinuki.

    The Kitakinki Toyooka Expressway has opened 66 km between Kasuga JCT/IC and Tajima Airport IC, with 7.1 km remaining. Of these, the section between Tajima Airport IC and Toyooka Izushi IC (2km) is expected to open in fall 2024. The final section between Toyooka-Izushi IC (Shindo is in the same city) and (tentative name ) Toyooka-Kita JCT/IC (Tomaki) was commercialized in 2020 and land acquisition began in 2022. The land acquisition rate as of the end of March was 5%.

    Nine bridges (1,700 meters) and two tunnels (870 meters) are planned in this section, with 50% of the route being construction work. This year, we will proceed with the construction of the lower part of the Toyooka Izushi IC. A viaduct about 800 meters long will be built across the Nasa River. It will connect with Kinosaki Line and Takeno Line, a prefectural project, at Toyooka-kita JCT. The cost of the project is 27 billion yen. Although the opening date has not yet been determined, it is expected to ensure traffic safety during natural disasters and improve access to tourist attractions and emergency medical facilities.
