Energy Agency Reorganizes to Strengthen Decarbonization/International Resource Strategy Office

　The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry/Agency for Natural Resources and Energy announced on the 27th that it will revise its organization as of July 4th in order to strengthen measures for the introduction of hydrogen and ammonia and carbon neutrality. The Hydrogen and Ammonia Section was established in the Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Department, and the Environment-friendly Fuel Promotion Section was established in the Resources and Fuel Department to take charge of CCS (carbon dioxide capture and storage) and carbon recycling policies. The Policy Division of the Natural Resources and Fuel Department will set up the International Resource Strategy Office, which will take charge of the new resource diplomacy strategy.
