ORIX Real Estate (Minato-ku, Tokyo) constructed a logistics facility "Ichikawa Shiohama II Logistics Center" in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, which was completed on December 28, 2022. It is an environmentally friendly facility that uses 100% renewable energy-derived power, and has installed a solar power generation facility on the roof based on an on-site PPA (power purchase agreement) model.
The output of the solar panel is 567.375 kW. The power generated will be consumed in-house, and surplus power will be sold to TEPCO Power Grid. It is expected to cover about 50 to 60% of the electricity used at the facility. In addition, when electricity is insufficient due to nighttime or weather conditions, electricity will be supplied with a non-fossil certificate with tracking.
PPA operators and electricity retailers are ORIX Environment and Energy Division (including group companies). The environmental value will also be transferred to the electricity supplied to tenant companies. In addition, it has acquired CASBEE (new construction A rank), adopted LED lighting throughout the building, and installed two EV (electric vehicle) charging stations in the parking lot.
4 floors above ground (both sides are perspective on the 1st floor), steel-frame construction with a total floor area of 24,141.30m2. Up to two tenants can move in, and vertical conveyors and office space can be added according to the needs of tenant companies. Located approximately 3.6 km from the Chidoricho Interchange (IC) on the Shuto Expressway Wangan Line, and approximately a 12-minute walk from Ichikawa-Shiohama Station on the JR Keiyo Line.
