The skill certification system established in FY2009 has been implemented twice in the Tokyo area so far. This was the first regional event. The Japanese skeleton will be expanded nationwide to improve the treatment of technicians and improve their social status.
The in-house certification is a system established to improve the status and treatment of concrete casting technicians who did not have national qualifications, and has been certified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. It will be held in the Chugoku region for the first time in rural areas, and is scheduled to be held in the Tohoku, Kinki, Shikoku, and Kyushu regions in 2011.
The exam consists of writing and practical skills. The practical skill uses a mixture of silica sand and aggregate, which is likened to concrete, and the examiner scores each stage from preparation to compaction work and tidying up. After the practical skill, it was judged by the oral test whether the operation of the machine and the state of compaction could be properly judged = photo.
Chairman Oki, who visited the test site, said, "Concrete pouring is important for building a solid structure, but workers have not been taken care of until now. We have established a system to objectively evaluate skill levels. I would like to work with prime contractors so that acquiring qualifications will lead to improved treatment. " In addition, he said, "I would like to aim to raise the annual income of technicians by linking it to the level judgment of the Construction Career Advancement System (CCUS)."
