On the 27th, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture approved the execution of the "Okazaki Honjuku Yamanaka Land Readjustment Project" planned by Mitsui Fudosan in the vicinity of Honjuku Station on the Nagoya Railway. Infrastructure development for the construction of large-scale commercial facilities. Locations are parts of Ikekane-cho, Maiki-cho, and Honjuku-cho. The area is 18.9 hectares. The period is from 2023 to 2025.
In the project, 856 meters of main roads, 1,082 meters of roads with divisions, and three parks (6,632 square meters) will be developed.
According to the outline of the store that the company submitted to the prefecture in May, the name of the store is "(provisional name) Okazaki Commercial Facility New Construction Plan." The building is a two-story steel building with a total area of about 69,000 square meters. The parking lot can accommodate approximately 2,050 vehicles. The site area is approximately 15.6 hectares. Construction is scheduled to begin in early May 2012, with opening scheduled for October 2015.
Along with the development of large-scale commercial facilities, the "(provisional name) Honjuku Station West Land Readjustment Project" will also proceed on the adjacent land on the east side. The aim is to create a regional base with functions such as housing, welfare, and medical care on approximately 17 hectares. The founders' association is cooperating with commercialization study partners to formulate a business plan. If all goes well, we plan to establish a union in 2024.
A group represented by Meitetsu Urban Development is in charge of commercialization study partners. Members are Nagoya Railroad, JR West Properties, Yahagi Construction Industry, and Asahi Industry. After the union is established, it becomes a business agent.
