Nishinomiya City to Announce Proposal for Former Central Hospital Site on October 1, Targeting Private Medical Institutions

Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, will announce a public proposal on October 1 for selecting a buyer for the site of the former City Central Hospital (Hayashida Town, site area 10,616 m²). The hospital will relocate in July 2026 as part of the integration with Prefectural Nishinomiya Hospital. The sale assumes the participation of private medical institutions, and the existing buildings and land will be sold as-is, with a minimum price of ¥2,132 million.
According to the draft application guidelines, a site visit for interested parties will be held by the Financial Affairs Bureau, Asset Management Division until December 26. Applications to participate must be submitted by November 28, with proposal submissions due by January 6, 2026. Following a hearing evaluation, the city will announce the preferred negotiating party on March 19, 2026.
Eligible applicants are individual medical corporations or groups including medical corporations intending to utilize the site for medical purposes.

Proposals will also be evaluated on contributions to solving healthcare challenges in Nishinomiya City and the Hanshin area, including regional engagement and community services.
A preliminary contract is planned for mid-April 2026, with the sale and purchase agreement expected in late September 2026. Construction is planned to start within one year after handover.
