    ◆Scheduled to start operation sequentially after 2016

    TEPCO Renewable Power (RP) announced on the 27th that its UK subsidiary, Flotation Energy (FE), jointly with a Norwegian company, has won the submarine lease rights for the UK offshore wind power generation project. Acquisition of exclusive development rights for 50 years off the northeast coast of Scotland for approximately 16 billion yen. Two projects will create floating facilities with a total maximum installed capacity of 1.91 million kilowatts. Commercial operation is scheduled to begin in stages from 2028.


     FE and Norwegian renewable energy developer Vergron jointly won the bid. Of the two projects, Green Bolt will start construction in 2025 and is scheduled to go into operation in 2028. The maximum installed capacity is 560,000 kilowatts. The other Senos will start construction in 2026 and is expected to be operational in 2030. The maximum installed capacity is 1.35 million kilowatts.
