Shirasaki Corporation (Chuo-ku, Tokyo), which is involved in the weed control and greening business, has formed a business alliance with Energy Vision (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which provides O&M (operation and maintenance) services for solar power generation. We have started an O&M service for low-voltage commercial solar power plants that includes the introduction of

On a monthly basis with no initial burden on the customer, we support facility management such as inspection, monitoring, rush response, and troubleshooting of solar power plants, as well as site management by laying anti-weed sheets to prevent weeds. In addition to eliminating the burden of the initial cost, which was a major obstacle to the introduction of weed control sheets, the risk of reduced power generation due to overgrowth of weeds and complaints from neighbors can be reduced.
Shirasaki Corporation will manage the site using anti-grass sheets. Equipment management will be expanded nationwide by utilizing the know-how of Energy Vision and the company's network. By using Energy Vision's "power plant analysis" to detect a gradual decline in power generation at an early stage and propose appropriate countermeasures, it will contribute to maintaining power generation and stable operation over the long term.
Assuming a low-pressure solar panel installed on flat ground, the monthly fee is 12,500 yen (excluding tax) for a site area of 1,200m2. Assuming that weed control sheets are installed on the entire site, the monthly fee is based on the site area. In addition, on sloping land, land with buried stones, land with poor drainage, etc., additional initial costs may be incurred or installation may not be possible after a site survey.
The contract period is 10 years, after which the weed control sheet will be transferred. Shirasaki Corporation has been providing a 10-year warranty service for weed control sheets, and even after the warranty period expires, it is expected that the functionality can be maintained for 15 to 20 years with some modifications. The company aims to introduce the system to 300 power plants in the first year.
