    On August 5, 2024, the Bureau of Natural Resources and Energy implemented a suspension of FIT/FIP subsidies for agricultural solar power generation projects that were found to be incompatible with the Agricultural Land Act for inappropriate reasons.

    Measures to be taken against 20 enterprises
    The revised Renewable Energy Special Measures Act came into effect on April 1, 2024, and includes measures to expand the introduction of renewable energy coexisting with local communities. In this law, from the perspective of coexistence with local communities, a new measure is introduced to temporarily suspend FIT/FIP subsidies to encourage enterprises that violate relevant laws and regulations to resolve their violations as soon as possible. take measures against solar power generation projects (a total of 9 projects) that clearly violate the Forestry Law.

    On August 5, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, we temporarily suspended FIT/FIP subsidies for the following cases related to agricultural solar power generation projects (342 cases/20 enterprises).

    The objectives of the measures are as follows.

    - Cases of conversion of agricultural land where the person granted a license to convert agricultural land has requested remediation or ordered restoration to the original state because cultivation has not been properly continued on the lower agricultural land or equipment has not been dismantled even after temporary conversion of agricultural land. conversion period has expired (15 cases/6 enterprises)
    ・Regarding cases that must apply for permission to convert agricultural land within 3 years after receiving FIT certification, cases that cannot apply for permission to convert agricultural land within the period and lack FIT certification (327 cases/14 enterprises)

    In response, the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy said, “We will continue to work with relevant ministries and agencies to take strict measures against enterprises found to be in violation of relevant laws and regulations, such as suspending FIT.” /FIP funding and coexistence with local communities. ''We will continue to promote the introduction of renewable energy."
