Toyota Fura / Tokyo Daiba complex arena total scale of 37,000 square meters, construction to start in June

Toyota Real Estate (Nakamura Ward, Nagoya City, President Tomohide Yamamura) and others have revealed that the complex arena "(tentative name) TOKYO A-ARENA" planned in Daiba, Tokyo will have a total scale of approximately 37,000 square meters. . With a capacity of about 10,000 people, it will be the home of the professional basketball B-League Alvark Tokyo. Nikken Sekkei is in charge of the basic design, and Kajima is in charge of the detailed design. Construction is set to begin in June, with the aim of opening in the fall of 2025.
The construction site is 1-3 Aomi, Koto-ku, Tokyo (site area: 26,446 square meters). The former site of Toyota's exhibition facility "Mega Web", which closed in 2020, will be redeveloped. It is a joint venture between Toyota and three other companies, with the facilities being developed by Toyota and operated by Toyota Alvark Tokyo (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President Kunihiko Hayashi).
The building will be an RC/SRC/S construction with 1 floor below ground and 6 floors above ground with a total area of 37,206 square meters. The height is 35 meters. The spectator seats will be arranged in an elliptical shape to shorten the distance from the court. The system will be used not only for basketball, but also for volleyball, table tennis, and e-sports. An outdoor park will also be developed on the roof of the building, aiming to create a lively atmosphere throughout the year.
We are considering acquiring the US Green Building Council's environmental certification system "LEED", which is the first arena in Japan. Toyota's mobility technology will also be introduced, and the operation of vehicles responsible for selling goods and moving to the venue will also be considered.
