Russia begins testing green hydrogen production
Russia's first hydrogen test site will begin operations in Sakhalin on July 13
This site already has a solar power station with a total installed capacity of 0.3 MW (600 panels with a capacity of 500 W each). Hydrogen will be produced through electrolysis. Equipment for the latest installation has been fully supplied and commissioning is underway.
The Sakhalin hydrogen test site is the first of its kind in Russia. The island region has won the right to implement a pilot project to develop hydrogen energy. If the test is successful, in a few years a hydrogen plant will be started and the clean fuel will be exported to countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
