Kyushu Electric Power announced on Tuesday that it will unify the group's renewable energy business into subsidiaries, Kyuden Mirai Energy (Fukuoka City, President Yutaka Mizumachi). Until now, Kyushu Electric Power Body has developed and operated, mainly geothermal and hydropower, and Kyuden Mirai Energy, mainly solar, wind power, and biomass. In the future, the renewable energy business will be consolidated into Kujura Mirai Energy and accelerated in decarbonization investment. First, the geothermal business will be integrated in April next year, and the hydropower business will be integrated as soon as it is ready. It is expected that a huge renewable renewable company with a power supply of about 1.6 million kilowatts will be born.
