HD Hyundai Electric Showcases Net-Zero Energy Solutions at WCE 2025 in Busan
Busan, Korea – August 27–29, 2025 – HD Hyundai Electric, alongside HD Hyundai Energy Solutions and HD Hyundai Hydrogen, participated in the 2025 World Climate Industry EXPO (WCE 2025) at BEXCO, showcasing advanced technologies under the theme “Net-zero Energy Journey with HD Hyundai.” The event coincided with APEC, CEM, and MI Ministerial Meetings, bringing together global energy leaders to explore sustainable solutions.
Production – Clean Energy from Solar & Offshore Wind
HD Hyundai presented next-generation high-efficiency tandem solar cells, proprietary offshore wind floating platforms with substations, and an offshore wind installation vessel equipped with DP2 (Dynamic Positioning System).
Storage – Grid Stability & Decarbonization
The company highlighted its total Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions and SOEC-based green hydrogen production technology, enabling efficient energy storage and decarbonization.
Transmission – Clean Power Distribution
HD Hyundai showcased SF₆-free high-voltage circuit breakers with 99% greenhouse gas reduction and eco-friendly insulating oil transformers.
Consumption – Energy Efficiency & Urban Clean Energy
On the consumption side, innovations included eco-friendly high-efficiency SOFC power systems, industrial complex Energy Management Systems (CEMS), dry-air SF₆-free switchgear, and Type B RCBOs (Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection) for EV chargers.
Significantly, HD Hyundai Electric announced that it will release Korea’s first mass-produced, in-house developed Type B RCBO for EV chargers in October 2025, underscoring its commitment to urban clean energy and electric vehicle infrastructure.
