Mikawashima Station North Area Redevelopment Project (Arakawa-ku, Tokyo), Recruitment of specific sales agents/associations

    The Mikawashima Station North Area Urban Redevelopment Association (President Matsumoto Kaori), in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo, will begin recruiting specific business agents on the 3rd. The company will be responsible for the design and detailed construction of the facility, handling of unused floor space, and supporting business promotion. Applications must be submitted to the Mikawashima Station North Area Specific Business Agent Candidate Selection and Evaluation Committee Secretariat by the 14th (located at the National Urban Redevelopment Association, 6-14-5 Shinbashi, Minato-ku). The association expects construction to begin in April 2026 and be completed in December 2029. Individuals or joint ventures may participate in separate solicitations.     The planned site is Nishi-Nippori 1-4, located north of Mikawashima Station on the JR Joban Line and other locations (area of ​​about 1.5 hectares). The renovated building will have 43 floors above ground and 1 underground floor, with a total usable area of ​​89,900m2.

    The area is planned to include apartment buildings, shops and public facilities (a multi-purpose arena). The first to third floors will be used as commercial facilities, living services and childcare support facilities to enhance the convenience of living in the area. Among the apartment buildings from the 4th to the 43rd floors, the 4th to the 7th floors will be used as housing for the elderly.

    As part of the disaster prevention plan, a space for those who cannot return home and a storage area for disaster prevention supplies will be set up in the common areas of the facility. The participating members are four companies: Mitsui Fudosan Residential, Nomura Real Estate, Mitsubishi Jisho Residences, and Cosmos Initia. This business consulting company is a joint venture between Polytech ADD and the Urban Planning Office. The basic design will be undertaken by Nikken Housing System.
