Hokkaido Electric Power Company, Idemitsu Kosan and ENEOS announced on the 20th that they will jointly consider building a green hydrogen supply chain in the western Tomakomai region of Hokkaido around 2030. By around 2030, we will build Japan's largest water electrolysis plant with a capacity of over 100,000 kilowatts and a hydrogen storage facility. The plant will produce about 10,000 tons of green hydrogen per year from renewable energy electricity. The hydrogen produced will be supplied to customers in the complex, including Idemitsu's Hokkaido Refinery, through a newly constructed pipeline.
