Overcoming the strict conditions of the Securities Law of Japan, the financial requirements include business plan, liquidity, and governance, in which, enterprises must protect their business plans, demonstrate that the plan is reasonably built, has sustainable growth potential and must be assessed by authorized companies that recognize and guarantee.
Enterprises will also have to prove they have at least 150 initial shareholders and always maintain listing at 1,000 or more units, and must also list at least 1,000 new units with a market capitalization of over 5. billion yen.
According to data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan has 4.21 million enterprises, of which the number of listed enterprises is only about 3700 (equivalent to 0.08%).
