The Kanto Regional Development Bureau and Keihin Electric Express Railway announced on the 8th that they have started construction of the "Haneda Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 Station Tracking Line". Part of measures to expand airport functions to strengthen the international competitiveness of Haneda Airport. Temporary turning passages will be constructed to secure pedestrian flow lines during the construction period. Pacific Consultants will be in charge of the design, and Nishimatsu Construction will be in charge of the construction. We aim to complete it in 2024 and start operation in 2013. This will be the first construction related to the Haneda Airport Access Line.

When constructing a pocket track to switch trains at Haneda Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, it is necessary to remove part of the connecting passage from that station to Terminal 2. Therefore, the temporary turning passage will be prepared first. A temporary turning passage will be installed next to the current pedestrian flow line, and the connecting passage will be removed. The temporary turning passage is 47 meters long from the 2nd basement floor to the 1st basement floor.

The track and platform will be maintained by the Kanto Development Bureau, and the railway facilities such as tracks and platforms will be maintained by Keikyu Electric Railway.

The Haneda Airport Access Railroad track is planned to extend approximately 330 meters from the platform end of Keikyu Railway's Haneda Airport Terminal 1 and 2 stations toward the apron. From the side of the platform to the excavated part and the non-excavated part, the remaining 300 meters will be maintained as a compound circular double-track shield tunnel. The location is Haneda Airport 3, Ota-ku, Tokyo.
