Kanto Development Bureau / Completion of the new drainage supporter trial work, the introduction of the site in 2023

Prototype of the completed new drainage supporter
A prototype of the new "drainage supporter" produced by the Kanto Regional Development Bureau was completed = photo. A supporter that prevents the hose from breaking and scratches using the drainage pump hose flexing portion. Prototypes and improvements for two years have been repeated, improving workability and lighter. The Kanto Development Bureau will solidify the specifications within 2022 and aim to introduce the site in 2023.
On the 27th, the Kanto Technical Office Funabashi Disaster Prevention Center (Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture) was performed at an online meeting at the venue. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the local maintenance bureaus nationwide watched it.
In some cases, drainage pumps that are active in flood damage have a hose bent when overcoming steps, etc., reducing the cross -sectional area, and the pump cannot demonstrate sufficient abilities. Currently, we are taking measures using a resin supporter, but there were issues, such as the heavy weight, the shape of the shape, and the installation angle was limited.
The prototype is reduced by dividing and assembled, and two patterns, a bent tube and a straight tube type, can be set. In FY2024, when the hose was filled with water, the end belt was changed to a wide one to prevent the end of the supporter from biting the hose by weight. In order to avoid stress concentration during use, improvements have been made, such as cutting the corners of the mixed part. As a result of the comparative verification, the workability was equivalent to the conventional product, achieving significant weight reduction.
At the same day online conference, a forklift was regarded as an obstacle, demonstrating a step beyond the steps and the 180 -degree bending of it while horizontally. It was indicated that the pump can be used without any problems even with the fully opened operation (drainage amount 7.5 cubic meters per second).
In FY2023, the company plans to spread the specifications formulated to the local governments and institutions that own drainage pump trucks, and to spread them. "I would like to increase the efficiency of on -site work by introducing the workplace work," said Kazuyuki Sasaki of the Kanto Development Bureau Planning Division Construction Planning Division.
