On March 17, Morita Holdings, which deals with mounting and sales of fire trucks and other emergency vehicles and special-purpose vehicles, started solar power generation using an on-site PPA (power purchase agreement) model at the company's manufacturing base in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture. announced that it has installed the equipment.
Solar panels with a total output of 1.44 MW were installed on the roofs of a total of 4 factories of 3 group companies (Morita, Morita Technos, Morita Econos) in the industrial park "Hokusetsu Sanda Techno Park" in Sanda City. Annual power generation is approximately 1.2 million kWh, which is equivalent to approximately 270 ordinary households.
The PPA operator is Datgas Energy (Osaka City). The generated electricity will be purchased by the Morita Group for in-house consumption. About 24% of the electricity used by the four factories is covered, and it is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by about 423 tons annually.
