Aeon will open the commercial facility "Aeon Mall Toyokawa" in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture on April 4. As a commercial facility, we will introduce a solar carport (parking lot type solar power generation facility) with an output of 1.3 MW, which is one of the largest in Japan, and a biogas power generation facility that uses food waste discharged from the facility. All power generated is self-consumed. Announced on February 6th.
The solar carport will be installed as an on-site PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) model, and is expected to generate 1.5 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the power of approximately 350 ordinary households. It can cover about 8% of the electricity used by the mall. The solar carport will be made by Looop, and the PPA operator will be Chubu Electric Miraise.
The biogas power generation facility processes 1 ton of food waste per day to produce approximately 80 to 150 m3 of biogas, and operates a gas generator with an output of 25 kW. Annual power generation is expected to range from 36,000 kWh to 80,000 kWh, depending on the amount of garbage generated. Daigas Energy's biogas power generation equipment will be adopted and operated by Aeon Mall.
Planned to conform to the "ZEB Ready" certification, which certifies that the building reduces standard primary energy consumption by 50% or more, excluding renewable energy. It is the first large-scale commercial facility in Japan with a total floor area of 100,000m2 or more. It also acquired the highest rank of S rank certification in the CASBEE evaluation.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has certified as a project that will be adopted as a building that contributes to the dissemination and enlightenment of leading technologies related to energy conservation and CO2 reduction. Acquired.
The three-story, steel-framed building has a site area of approximately 128,000m2 and a total floor area of approximately 113,000m2. Approximately 190 specialty stores will open, including Aeon Style Shin-Toyokawa as the anchor store, UNIQLO/GU (GU) as the sub-anchor store, Sports Authority + Outdoor Stage, Book Toyokawado x nido cafe, Yamada Denki Tech Land/MIRAINO, and more. There are about 3,000 parking spaces and about 1,200 bicycle parking spaces.
